Bargain Luxury

Hi lovelies, It's been quite a while since I've posted but last minute notice of a sale is better than no news at all.  As you may have guessed it, the Madoff's high end luxury goodies are being sold off to recoup for some of their atrocities.  As promised in an earlier too-good-to-be-true post about Susan Ellis (another swindler) here are the highlights of the Madoff auction:
- 11/13 @ 10am Sheraton Hotel 811 7th Avenue & 53rd St. NY, NY 10019
- Auction will be simulcast online at Gaston and Sheehan-one of my favorite auctioneers
- Goodies include:

• Diamond Ring: One ladies diamond engagement ring with one emerald cut diamond weighing 10.54 cts. Diamond is VS2 in clarity, F in color, extremely fine proportions, GIA certificate # 8376741, set in a platinum hand-made mounting with two baguette diamonds on each side. Baguettes are VS in clarity, F in color, total weight .90 cts.
• Steinway and Sons grand piano with bench: Model M, serial number 188880, circa 1917. Diagonally measures 6'2", 38.5" height.
• Slippers: 1 pair black velveteen slippers, size 8½, red quilted lining, “BLM” embroidered with gold thread.
• Miniature bronze bull statue
• Antique wooden desk
• "Bernard L. Madoff, Investment Securities" lot of 4 tote bags
• Framed political cartoon with handwritten message
• 18 pairs of men's Belgian shoes, Mr. Casual style, size 9W
